The Sightings Stout series is dedicated to our fascination with unidentified aerial phenomenon.

Occasionally a video or two are released that cause us to question what we’re looking at. The “Gimbal” video is one of them.

During 2014–2015, fighter pilots associated with the USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group were operating off the East Coast of the United States when they recorded the “Gimabl” video while reporting instrument detections of unknown aerial objects which the pilots were unable to identify.

We don’t know what they are.
